Gearmotors and pulleys

The gear motors are necessary to create movements of statues in the DIY nativity scene. They are available in various revolutions per minute (RPM) which should be chosen based on their use. For example, for a statue that bends or cradles, a 5 RPM gear motor will be needed; for a blacksmith or a shearer, etc., a 10 RPM one, and for faster movements, such as a carpenter planing, a 20 RPM gear motor.

The gear motors operating on electricity are available in 2W for RPMs of 5-10-20 and in 4W for RPMs of 1-2-5-10-15-20-30-60.

The version of gear motors for nativity scenes operating at 12 Volts DC is available in RPMs of 5-10-15-20. The pulleys should be applied to the gear motor's shaft and are used to provide amplitude to the movement.
