THE NATIVITY SCENE IN MOTION

The crib was born in the XIII century by a representation of St. Francis of Assisi, is then entered to make part of our tradition until arriving to our days.

The Crib, as already detailed in our article in TAG, “The story of the Nativity”, has undergone many stylistic evolutions and techniques, of course, also the Crib has been applied with the technology available to man at that precise historical period. Today, the Crib can be called a true work of art, more and more realistic thanks to the many accessories for the crib, but the effect of surprise is given by the many electronic effects (LIGHTING TAG, water games and movements.

In this article we are going to analyze the movements, the more precisely the statues in motion and animals in motion for the Crib.

STATUES IN MOTION FOR THE CRIB

The statues in the movement make the crib very evocative and realistic, exactly reproduce the movements of the various characters, and often for every single subject in motion, it is possible to choose between different types of movements; in addition, the imagination and the skill to help interpret perfectly the life that took place at the time of the Birth of Jesus.

To make your nativity scene unique, you can choose from a wide range of movements and the most suitable one to your work; in fact, there are several versions of the Nativity: the christ-child can shake the arms or legs, or both, can our Lady cradling the baby jesus in his arms, or to move the manger, and Joseph, for example, can move the lantern or the stick rather than the head. The same variety is also provided for the many pastors in the movement for the Crib that represent the trades characteristic of a time; as the laundress who washes the clothes, the carpenter planer, the fisherman, the baker, and many others.

For some pastors, you can also notice a double movement, for example, the shepherd that moves the stick and the head, the tosatore that cuts the hair of the sheep, and the sheep that moves his head, the blacksmith that shoes the donkey and the donkey moves or the lumberjack that cuts down the plant, and the trunk drops.

ANIMALS IN MOTION FOR THE CRIB

In addition to the interpretation of the human figure, in recent years, in the Crib there are also several animal figures in movement; for example, the sheep, the chickens and the birds that peck, the millstone with the donkey, the cows, the mice, and many others.

Animals in motion are all working and current are produced in plastic, resin and terracotta; they are offered in various sizes to adapt according to the height of the statue from 8 cm up to cm30.

NEWS IN MOTION

The most recent additions are small figures and animals in motion on the continuous tape and the sleeper that moves the chest, simulating the breathing of a deep sleep.
